Hall of Musical Elegance

In all glory and irrefutable greatness, Bloom Bops are given to those exceptional, gratifying music in the 21st century that exceed the barriers of creativity, all of which are listed in the Hall of Musical Elegance. Albums released before the eligible period will be categorized as Bloom Classics and placed in another list.

Note: This is not a ranked list, and it may not include some other masterpieces since I have yet to listen to them. If you have any suggestions, feel free to leave them in the comment section!

Sufjan Stevens - Carrie & Lowell
93
Sufjan Stevens strips his electronica persona and dons his folk forte to narrate one of the decade's most heart-thrashing stories, written in his finest and most expressive poetry.

Full review coming soon.
Lana Del Rey - Norman Fucking Rockwell!
92
Lana Del Rey has never sounded so elegant. On her singular fifth album, she sings of the world collapsing, broken men littering, and happiness fleeing. It is her greatest record to date.

My full review will be released on the album's third anniversary!
Sufjan Stevens - Illinois

Review and track scores coming soon.
Perfume Genius - Set My Heart on Fire Immediately
90
Mike Hadreas is born to be an artist. On his terrific fifth album, he reinvents himself as a striking prima donna, singing of unrequited love and its adherent loneliness, of a life devoid of blissful pinnacles. It is his greatest record to date: a manifesto of his full-blown talent.

@Nona Glad you enjoyed it! And yeah, she's awesome. I haven't got the chance to check her more recent projects yet, tbh, but based off of my experience with her earlier stuff she's quite amazing indeed. (and ha, what a cool coincidence too :) )

@ShiloRA Hey! Thank you so much for your immaculate recommendation. Coincidentally, I'm currently diving into Björk's early works (Debut, Post, Homogenic) right now, and it's been a bless! Just gave a listen to the album recently and absolutely yes, it is a stunningly beautiful album that definitely deserves a spot on this list. What an amazing artist she is!

You should check out Vespertine by Bjork. Vespertine means "active during the night" (in biology), and this album is all about sex and intimacy in the most beautiful way possible. It's like being embraced into a coocoon of microbeats and choirs and infinite love and it's so, so beautiful. Highly recommended.
