Pinned Review

my bloody valentine - loveless
100
For my 100th review I wanted to talk about an album that means a lot me, and the obvious pick of the bunch is My Bloody Valentine's 'Loveless', my favourite album of all time.

My history with this album started when I was around 14, I was in a bookstore and I saw one of those 1001 Albums You Must Hear Before You Die books, and decided: "why not?". To give more context, at the time my musical taste was far from what it is today. I tended to avoid anything that wasn't classic rock like ... read more

파란노을 [Parannoul] - After the Magic

In under two years, underground South Korean artist Parannoul has climbed up the ranks with his DIY, emo meets shoegaze, style to stand among my favourite artists of the 21st century. His 2021 breakout sophomore album, 'To See The Next Part of the Dream', is one of my favourite albums not only of the last few years but of all time, effortlessly topping its respective year-end list despite some incredible competition and receiving what is so far my only perfect 10 of the decade and placing it in ... read more
Lil Yachty - Let's Start Here.
60
Lil Yachty has always felt like the mainstream trap equivalent of an outsider artist to me, checking all the boxes needed to fit into the genre's stylistic boundaries in theory, but always driven by his quirky personality and lackadaisical approach to music. These aspects always made him stand out among his contemporaries and also made him quite an honest and personable figure in a genre that can often feel dominated by artists who feel like exact clones of one another. However, let's be ... read more
Gilla Band - Most Normal

Gilla Band, formerly known as Girl Band, were always a band I saw incredible potential in, a potential that shone through at times on their first two records but was ultimately dragged down by various things. Their debut, 'Holding Hands with Jamie', had some brilliant ideas and really was, all things considered, a good debut album, but ultimately, it's poor production really took the edge off a lot of its noise rock elements, and the band hadn't yet found their space in that rather daunting ... read more
Alvvays - Blue Rev
90
After a long five-year wait, Canadian indie pop outfit Alvvays have finally gifted us with their third studio album, 'Blue Rev', a more than worthy new addition to their unbelievably consistent discography.

To anyone who knows me, the fact that I am absolutely over the moon right now is no surprise. Both of the band's self-titled debut and their sophomore, 'Antisocialites', cracked the top fifteen of my end-of-decade list for the 2010s and the latter of which most certainly ranks among the ... read more

Hey there nostalgia! I wanted to redo my review of an album that means a lot to me. It truly made my output on music different and caused me to look at things in a different light. It’s helped me through some really tough times, and it's very dear to me. It would make my day if you could give it a look!

sounds cool, haven't heard it yet but the ethereal/spacey vibes are strictly required to achieve my ZZZZZZZZZZZZ, so I'll add it to the list as well as a list of albums to listen to. Thanks!

Hey! Being an avid fan of falling asleep, and having just made a list of albums I like falling asleep to, I got curious what other people like to fall asleep to (if anything). So if there's any album you like to put on when you're getting ready for sleep, I'll add it to a community list I'm making. Cheers!

I'm making a video for Scaring the Hoes and I'm gonna start it with different perspectives on the album. You gave it a 70. I was wondering if you could send a 30 second- 1min audio or video of you explaining your score and stance on the album. If not that's okay I can find someone else!
