I mean… it’s good? It’s sounds nice and all but there’s nothing special about it. It seems Latto is going to continue with the disco sound, which makes sense as it has brought her tons of success… However this is a very generic, very commercial track, it sounds like something you have definitely heard a lot of times before. I can see this becoming a hit on the upcoming months.
There’s really not much to this song, the production is very minimalistic and it’s not really catchy, the appeal of the track are the vocals which are freaking gorgeous, specially on the outro.
Very abrasive delivery by Ashnikko which I'm here for but my problem with this song is that the verses, the pre chorus and the chorus all sounds the same. There’s no sense of progression throughout the song. It’s very flat.
THIS IS A BANGER OF A SONG. It’s fun and it goes hard. And while some could argue that the lyrics could be better, the explosive production and Benee’s personality make up for it.
Hey Queen. Girl, you have done it again, constantly raising the bar for us all and doing it flawlessly. I’d say I’m surprised but I know who you are. I’ve seen it up close and personal. Girl, you make me so proud, and I love you.
Caroline drops yet another great single in the lead up to her sophomore record. The bagpipe was so unexpected but I adored it. Desire, I Want To Turn Into You is shaping up to be one of the best albums of 2023.
While it’s not as good as Ditto, it’s still a really fun song from NewJeans, the 2000’s R&B production really stands out from the rest of the K-Pop stuff out there right now.
You can say a lot of things about Ava Max, but she knows how to make very catchy, smart pop music. She truly excels at it. This album improves on her debut by being way better lyrically and it’s also more consistent. Instead of feeling like a collection of hit songs with no direction (like in Heaven & Hell), this project chooses to stick mainly with an 80’s synth/dance pop sound, making it more cohesive than her past effort. However I do feel like her last record had way ... read more
Okay, this single has 2 things going for it, a good country-pop production and a catchy hook. However the lyricism is weak and I don’t fully like how her voice sounds, she has such a unique tone that is very hit or miss.
The weakest single out of the five she has released so far, it's a shame this will be the only one that is included in her debut album. It is very weak melodically and lyrically, The vocals in the last minute are good but that’s about it. This was disappointing, she can do way better.
Why is the rating so high? I really dislike Pink with a dance-pop production, in my opinion where she truly shines is in unapologetic rock-pop tracks. This is painfully generic. Where’s the flavor?
I mean, it’s nothing new or unique but if you want a great synth-pop track to bop and go crazy to, you’ll love this one. Looking forward to this new era from miss Zara Larsson.
EDIT: This has grown on me quite a lot, like I'M OBSESSED.
Just when I thought LAROI was on the right track, he releases… this. The verses and pre-choruses are OK but oh lord, his nails-on-chalkboard-voice strikes once again on the chorus. It makes me want to turn the volume all the way down.
