Decent release by this Greek/Swedish melodeath band. I'm really not totally familiar with melodic death metal, as I'm just starting to explore it this year, but from what I've heard from the genre, this seems pretty standard. It's fast and aggressive while occasionally making nods to classic 80s heavy metal. It's dark and dirty with thrashing riffs and clear sounding overdriven guitar leads. Fun introduction to Stella Explorer's original music. Her voice soars over and dances with the music. Singing in a raspy alto range, she has a tough voice that will catch your attention. The EP opens with a dream pop track with "Exit Game." Following that is "Kill It Before It Dies" which is a spacey and atmospheric dance-able pop song. Beautiful piece of work. Piano, violin, woodwinds, guitar, bass, and drums mix together to create a mesmerizing and soft atmosphere. This is pretty much jazz infused folk music. The mood of it is bright and uplifting. There is a certain sadness in it at times, but it remains very calm and sweet all of the way through. Musicianship from this band has always been great.
