it ain't terrible, but thank god it's short af cuz it's boring and nothing really happens. Also is ye using AI I can't even tell.
Amazing beat from Metro and that K-Dot verse is incredible, the track could've ended way better tho.
Yeah this didn't age that well, it's corny and kinda falls off after the first verse. Still an ok song but easily Kendrick's worst diss.
idk y im doing this one year later but this is still amazing and one of the best disstracks oat.
It's been like a month since I did an actual album review, and now it's time to do one on one of my favorite projects of the 2020s, JID's third studio album and most critically acclaimed, The Forever Story.
It starts off with a pretty nice intro called "Galaxy", which I don't have much to say abt, it has nice singing ig. Following that, we go straight to a banger and one of the best off the album, "Raydar", this song has amazing samples, amazing flows, ... read more
CARE FOR ME, Saba's sophomore studio album, and his most praised and acclaimed project. This album combines a multitude of genres, like Jazz Rap & Cloud Rap, making for a very moody project from Saba.
CARE FOR ME starts out with a great opener in "BUSY / SIRENS", which the first half while having solid storytelling, it got stale too quick, but the second half is what made this track so good, with Saba using autotune to make a super catchy hook & rapping in this ... read more
AT.LONG.LAST.A$AP, A$AP Rocky's second studio album, and probably his best work to date. I love Rocky's music, but one thing I believe he never pulled out very well is making his albums consistent, and this isn't an exception to that, because even though this album has a lot of amazing tracks, it also has some weak ones too.
This LP starts off great with the track "Holy Ghost", which is a top tier Rocky song, the cloudy, gospel production that gives me wild west vibes ... read more
undun by The Roots. The 2011 album by the legendary group The Roots, which Black Thought is in, meaning I had very high expectations for this project from the start, considering how much I enjoyed his most recent album with Danger Mouse, Cheat Codes.
This LP is not ur average rap album, it feels like rapping is just one of the things this album offers, because undun consists of live instruments, Classical music, Boom Bap, Soul music, making the Hip Hop part just one of the many elements, and ... read more
LP! [Offline Version] or just OFFLINE! by JPEGMAFIA. Like any other Peggy album, it took me a couple of listens to fully enjoy this album, and It was definitely worth it, cuz this album is fucking amazing. This project combines everything, from Hardcore Hip Hop, to R&B and Pop elements, inching the main genre Experimental Hip Hop. Every single one of JPEG's albums are experimental, but this one is the best executed one by a mile, and I'ma tell u why I think that below.
From the ... read more
Midnight Marauders by A Tribe Called Quest. Definitely a must hear album, alongside the group's previous project The Low End Theory. This one is a very similar album to it's predecessor, but obviously some differences, like this one being more groovy and having a more joyful mood to the tracks.
I enjoyed this project a lot, as I mentioned before it's very groovy and laid back, so it's very easy for anyone to get into. It's also very consistent, none of the tracks being ... read more
1999 by Joey Bada$$. At the time he released this mixtape he was 17, and making the best mixtape oat at that age is very impressive (this is better than Live.Love). This project consists of Jazz Rap and Boom Bap, and those two combined gave a very relaxing vibe to this mixtape, which I enjoyed a lot.
The strengths of 1999 are showcased on Joey's raw talent throughout every song, just the way he can change his flow on every song and match the beat perfectly, his great lyrical ability at ... read more
It's Almost Dry by Pusha T. Another album of his in which every song is about him selling dope, but it still keeps me entertained for 35 minutes. Produced by both Pharell Williams and Kanye West, I had high expectations for this project from the start, and it definitely didn't disappoint.
Although not as consistent as his previous album DAYTONA, this album is still very solid due to Pusha's great flows and coke bars all over the project, and the great beats accompanying the ... read more
XXX by Danny Brown. The second album of his I'm listening too, and this one feels like where Danny was discovering his sound and style of music, kinda of like a blueprint for his music. Very interesting project, with a weird ass album cover, and as the title suggests, horny ass topics in the songs, but now I'ma get into what I didn't enjoy abt XXX.
First off, I liked every track on here, except the song Detroit187. On that song, Danny's rapping was very boring, and on top ... read more
Griselda Ghost, by Big Ghost Ltd, Westside Gunn & Conway the Machine. Never heard of this project, until today, where some guy made a video on TikTok abt his top 5 rapper x producer albums oat, and this one was the only one I hadn't listened to, so I decided to give it a listen.
To start it off, Conway and Westside had a lot of chemistry during the whole album, exchanging verses, and even at times rapping back and forward on the same verse, but one of them had an overall better ... read more
