This thing is a straight up snooze fest. Extremely repetitive for the vast majority of the album, same flows over the same type of beat. By far the most interesting and best project Yeat has put out so far. Lots of experimenting with more techno sounds, which absolutely fits the futuristic vibe the album sets. That vibes carries the album if you get sucked into it. That being said, there is plenty of bloat in this 22 track project, but overall this makes me excited for future projects from yeat if he continues to try new sounds.

While not as cohesive in story telling as Quadeca’s last project, the quality of sound and lyricism stays at the same quality, if not even better. The songs released in volumes I-III have grown on me with more listens, and fit surprisingly well together for a project advertised as scraps or leftovers. Genuinely some of the most unique sounding stuff I’ve heard, and I’m locked in for whatever he’s got next.

A vibe that stays consistent throughout, but individual songs are completely hit or miss. Kanye is often the weakest point of each song, which is by far the most disappointing part. Maybe if all 3 volumes come out I’ll be able to put together a full album that’s up to the standard Kanye should be at. Unfortunately. This doesn’t do that on its own
