Two or more years ago, I would have rated this a 100. Since its debut, Merriweather Post Pavilion is one of the rare albums that has soured on me, and it's difficult for me to put my finger on exactly why that is. It is clearly a lush, self-indulgent album, but I don't mind those qualities in other albums I enjoy, such as Fantasma or The Soft Bulletin. Perhaps some of the songs overstay their welcome?
