Mid. A one time listen only
When I saw the project appear on my Spotify, Reading the two artists name, I had some expectations from this album.
Lil Yachty's last album was him walking into a new sound, A challenging course for him, In which his execution was really commendable, That's why him collaborating with James Blake had me thinking a great project, but it severely fails to deliver on my expectations.

I'm actually in such an awe, how a piece of art is so soothing and it pushes you in a melancholic state, Reminds you of the feelings when you were naive and pure, forces you trace your own steps in past.

In short - SMITHEREENS is just OKAY.
To be honest, It is probably one of the best produced album released by Joji but my problem with this project is the lyrics. It feels like it is written by some novice. except the two singles Glimpse of us and YUKON(INTERLUDE), The lyrics are bad. The lyrics are so bad that It will trend on TikTok.
This is such a simple album yet so powerful, Lianne has such a soothing voice.
