Molly Tuttle - ...but i'd rather be with you

I follow her musical journey for quite some time now. Being a musician myself I am blown away by her skills and her continuing evolution as a singer and at arranging music. Coming from a very traditional and skill-oriented bluegrass background she now enters a territory of music that is all her own. This album of cover-versions shows her guitar-playing totally serving the soundscapes she crafted for the songs and these guitars sound as tasteful and beautiful as I could imagine. Her singing touches me now to the core as she is capable of an emotional intimacy without ever sounding fake. I guess that in a less hype driven world she would rank among the greatest musicians of her generation. Highly recommended.
As a starter try "mirrored heart" an FKA Twigs cover or "she´s a rainbow" for the boomers among us
