Heaven's Emperor - Teenage Poetry

??? what the fuck is this??? Generally I'm a very pretentious guy who finds useless imaginative meaning in art which probably isn't there. But this album just is the definition of going too far with a concept. I get that this is a venting album but it all just seems like trauma baiting shock value to me. Meaningless and badly integrated samples along with extremely subpar drones and just decent noise makes this so damn boring. Also learning the fact that the music video accompanied for this album features a guy killing himself on the final track leaves an extremely bad taste in my mouth. Trying to make a spectacle out of someones suicide is extremely disrespectful and gives me yet another reason to dislike this album.

I've personally felt all the emotions of dispair, depression, and sadness put on display on this album but trying to force them together into music this way is just dull and uninteresting. The only redeeming parts of this album are the opening track; especially the shoegaze passage on it, the short purely ambient instrumental bit on Infinite Love EX, and the extensive noise section of the last track. Other than that this is an extremely forced and missguided effort. Confused direction and beyond lo-fi production leaves way too much more to be desired on here and I just don't really see the appeal man.
