Tyler, The Creator - CALL ME IF YOU GET LOST

This man has really has been on a roll with these well-structured albums. Every feature I was surprised actually worked out and fit right in, with the production being solid, unique, and cohesive with smooth transitions; the lyrics being solid, and the content being thoughtful and meaningful, this is a very great album overall. (Only wish there was less DJ drama on every track, it gets a little annoying).

Ski Mask the Slump God - Sin City The Mixtape

It's just kind of a run-in-the-mill of what you'd expect from Ski Mask The Slump God, but just more dull. The rapping on some of the tracks in my opinion is the only decent part of the album, almost every beat gets boring to listen to, with the mixing of his vocals sounding super harsh, as well as the generic beats.

Travis Scott - ASTROWORLD

This album is definitely production-based. A lot of people can agree that Travis Scott isn't lyrically unique and provides filler through most of the tracks, but the spacious, lush and ambient production make up for it tremendously. Most of the features were well-picked too, from all the features on "stop trying to be god" to "skeleton", they really enhanced the experience of the album overall. The only drawback comes from a few boring tracks that were skippable for me ... read more

Post Malone - Stoney

This is a pretty damn good pop-rap album. The way Post Malone carries his voice throughout every part of the album was amazing, I legit felt the emotions with his vibrato-like vocals. Most of these features on here I think worked well and fit the vibes of the songs. Is the production a tad bit generic? yes, but it's the good kind of genericism where it's done right and not as annoying in my opinion. For the lyricism, it's kind of average and not too much to expect, but some of these lines are ... read more

Playboi Carti - Whole Lotta Red

I can respect the concept playboi carti was going for, he's definitely getting more of a punk-esque influence throughout the tracks and it came out way different then I expected. However, the drawbacks on this album are a mixture of lengths, vocal performance, and mixing.... Which happen in almost every track. Either his flows works well to the point it feels very trance-like, or it just feels half baked and tries to hard to give off a weird quirky inflection. My main problem with the mixing is ... read more
