It's far from a monumental record, one that will stand toe-to-toe with the greatest records in the pop music canon, but it is uncompromisingly a The 1975 record, and for that it deserves some credit.
It's a promising sound, one that I hope Planet 1999 refine into a fully featured debut.
I'm treating this as an interlude between records, and for that purpose, it's quite an admirable project.
