I understand how you are feeling, it is similar to how I felt when I first began exploring the genre. It can be very overwhelming at times. Keep pushing through though, once you can really grasp your own thoughts it will feel fantastic!

I can think of a few albums that have such a chaotic soundscape as "The Ascension" by Coltrane & "Machine Gun" by Brotzmann.
Try "European Echoes" by Manfred Schoof - I think you will love it. Also, Yosuke Yamashita Trio & Gerald Oshita - "嵐 (Arashi)". I'd suggest other Coleman releases, too, such as "Free Jazz" as well as more Coltrane, such as "Meditations".

For more spiritual work, I would definitely recommend listening to more from Sanders. "Black Unity" is likely my favorite from him. There is also great spiritual work from Alice Coltrane, such as "Journey in Satchidananda". You may also enjoy "Black Woman" by Sonny Sharrock.

These are all very acclaimed records that I thought of quickly, but not necessarily the most important. Definitely essential albums for getting into jazz though, most with a good bit of influence.
Now, since you seem to like the more free work, here are some specific recommendations for you:
Ornette Coleman - The Shape of Jazz to Come & Free Jazz
Pharoah Sanders - Karma & Black Unity
Alice Coltrane - Journey in Satchidananda
Anthony Braxton - For Alto
Eric Dolphy - Out to Lunch
Komeda Quintet - Astigmatic
These should be pretty interesting! I highly suggest reading some reviews on these when you listen to get more information.
It is tough to make short lists for jazz, as the genre has such an incredible amount of history, influence, and amazing releases. However, I do plan on working on a "How to get into Jazz" list sometime soon.
