Romaplasm sounds like Bath's most optimistic release of his discography. It's energetic and frantic at times with music that sounds more free form and experimental than his previous releases. Will is still able to keep it melodically interesting though. That's one of the best things about Baths. His music always flirts with an experimental sound that lacks a groove but never fully crosses that line. His music is thought out to display an emotion. "Adam Copies" played as I wrote that sentence and the way the music built and layered over his increasingly loud singing/screaming made me stop writing and appreciate the hell out of that moment. "Out" is a fun song with great lyrics and "Abscod" is beautiful.
I'm writing this after about two listens and I would rank it third after Obsidian and Cerulean. I'll give it a couple more goes over the next few days but it's definitely a solid album worth checking out.
