Besides a couple of songs, I never truly clicked with Ashley's music. In 'The Devil I Know', those exceptions would be 'Learned to Lie' and the title track. It's hard to tell what's special about anything else here.

'In Your Love' is a great showcase for a lacking project. 'Phone Calls and Emails' and 'Help Me Make It Through the Night' are worth your time but there's little truly substantial to 'Rustin' in the Rain'. It's a premature project.

There's a gravity on Zara's voice that really makes this work better than it should.

'Escândalo Íntimo' has a nice proposal to whomever crosses path with it. Luísa clashes genre interestingly enough to craft a unified vision that's solid, singular enough and intriguing. Track #4, 'Luísa Manequim' for example blends MPB and Rock. It's something that would make Rita Lee proud if it had a bit more of edge on the mixing.

There's barely any variation on 'I Told Them...' but Burna Boy is sittin' on top of a collection of decent enough tracks. I'd just caution him to be a bit humbler next time. The music is not quite there yet.

Wiz Khalifa's verse goes so hard and that's because it doesn't match the song at all.

Substandard Jonas Brothers and that says A LOT.

Disappointing. Not because it's bad, far from it, but because it lacks any of the effervescent energy these names bring to memory when put together.

Truly one of the most inventive, fun and unapologetic hip-hop tracks in history.

'The Candle and the Flame' is a nice pondering of the fleeting and important things in life.

'Room On Fire' has a warmer palette than 'Is This It'. Although it's just as good, the sense of novelty has already faded.

'WEEDKILLER' is an album I got bored with as it progressed. I like how she paints the picture in track 1 but she's not able to sustain it throughout. And it's really not that much of a new ideia. Although she's not common place, it's far from unique. Not to mention, as a listener, her voice is really an obstacle to surpass. Points for trying.
