I’m genuinely bewildered by how good this was. Influencer$ alone is on another level entirely. Honestly, this is what Christian rap should be about tbh, a combination of storytelling alongside sick beats and Gospel influences being worn on the sleeve. Definitely recommend this record for anyone interested.
Jose Gonzalez is always that one singer songwriter who you can rely on to drop a good project.
This is an awesome release. It does sometimes struggle from coherency issues and definitely isn't a "Veneer", but there are 100% some tracks I will be returning to here.
Lyricism is on point too. One of my favourite lines is from the intro track, A Perfect Storm, in which Jose Gonzalez delicately sings regarding AI expansion in recent years,
"Gambling with our common fate

The only reason I give this a 9/10 and not a 10/10 is because I think there is more of a coherent storyline to be told here, and thats why I really mess w/ songs like MiSOGYNISTICAL, EVERYBODY KNOWS :), FLAKKA, etc. but regardless, this is practically flawless.
Production wise, how could any one rapper do better than this? This is incredibly well produced and in my opinion is easily on par with Clipse’s release last year. IDK raps with conviction too, almost as if hes got something he ... read more
It was aight. Incoherent first half, commendable second half. I respect that he put effort into this. Don’t Be Dumb/Trip Baby is amazing, the first half mixes beautiful melodies with gorgeous harmonies (and incredible backup vocals) while the second half sees a uniquely comforting take on folktronica/botanica, giving me múm and silje nes vibes (alongside a few other artists). If only the whole album followed like that, I wanted to see more experimentalism like in Don’t Be ... read more
In my opinion this is the best single in the rollout, although my heart for him still lays in his more jazzy-laidback stuff
Shows they’ve still got it, but definitely not as good as a “Finally we are no one”
Gotta agree, this is a great song and definitely the best single they’ve released for the album so far
Another treat of IDK along side some jazz 🙏🙏 this time however, Theo Croker AND sector 202 team up for this one. Safe to say if you’re sleeping on IDK rn you’re really missing out
I’m completely enamoured by this record and I can only expect that feeling to grow on every listen.
I mean, who can really hate this album? From the lush soundscapes created in “Green Green Grass of Tunnel,” to the cinematic masterpiece which is “K/Half Noise,” and even the spacey, dreamy closing track “The Land Between Solar Systems,” This album goes on an extravagant and captivating journey, one which leaves me awestruck even more by every listen. This album was great, and had some stand out points for sure, but can we talk about Timezones for a second??
I haven’t heard of Rich Brian before, so this album was my first impression of him. I loved every second of Timezones, that was the most engaged I’ve been with a rap track in a long, long time. The way Brian story tells is immaculate, and at points I was genuinely at the edge of my seat. I felt like I was at Wall Street the way I was THAT invested.
I definitely see Brian ... read more
I would have never thought I'd ever fall down a Chilean music rabbit hole but uhhh... here I am?
Los Tres' debut eponymous album reminds me a lot of some good old Croatian and Ex-Yugoslavian rock records in the sense that it is extraordinarily fun and an enjoyable listen. This LP genuinely hit close to home, and I absolutely mean that.
Going into it, I didn't really have too many expectations. The start of this album definitely wasn't horrible, but it could've been ... read more
90 —> 80
I was heavily debating what I should give this record…
I think a 90/100 is valid for this project. This blew me away. I didn’t realise Quadeca was truly like that. This project has some insane moments, especially the ending. For a second there it truly feels as if you’ve fallen overboard, and are struggling to keep afloat with each wave of water roaring by.
However, there definitely are some things that need to be improved here. For one, Quadeca’s ... read more
At times this record was awesome, especially with left hand free and the John hurt song (although I may be biased as I had heard left hand free in a car commercial before without realising it and have also listened to John hurt an awful lot too - that song specifically was my introduction to this album). However, sometimes this record gets a bit repetitive, and at times can get really boring. Still a good listen though!
Honestly a nice listen! In all honestly though, the first song and hjerteknuser carry this album. Still loved it though
Masterpiece of an album. YYZ is some ridiculous talent 😭 don’t even get me started on the drumming!!! 🤣
Love this album. At first I honestly didn’t really like it, but a few late night listens later and it has been a favourite for a while now.
Peak music no one can tell me otherwise! and that guitar work (especially the acoustic guitar work) is pure genius and sounds absolutely crisp.
