An absolutely stunning posthumous album. This truly feels like something mac Miller would be proud of if he was able to release this himself, it genuinely feels like something mac would make as he was trying many new styles with his albums in the last few years of his career, it doesn't just feel like a cash grab by his label and actually feels like a mac Miller album(definitely not aimed at xxxtentacion's label). An amazing effort by the people who made this album for mac.
Throughout the album we get a look into mac's mind and his thoughts, it creates some especially heart wrenching tracks after his passing. He goes through topics of his depression, his drug addiction and many other sad topics. Even though I never listened to mac Miller before his death and this is actually the first project I've heard of his, it's still extremely saddening to hear this lp so I can't imagine how sad this is to people who were fans of his from the start.
These super sad tracks are all wrapped in amazing, dreamy production. Blue world in particular has outstanding production with the chopped up vocal sample playing throughout the entire track being one of the more happier toned songs on the entire album.
Mac's laid back, subdued delivery adds an extra level of sadness because it shows the mindset he was at when making these songs but it also makes this a great album to just chill out and vibe to.
An amazing send off for mac Miller. Rest in peace
