Stumbled across Malneezy through reading other people's chatboxes. I had no idea what this was going to be when I clicked the start button on his soundcloud song Last Kid On Earth, but when once the first note kicked it, it is truly a fantastic song. I am not the kind of person who typically enjoy dreamy ambient music, but this song really captures my heart.
This track is named A Tribute Track for a Friend. I don't know who his friend is, and what has happened to his friend. Maybe his friend ... read more

Holy shit the vocals on this are insane and explosive, I can see Deftones has definitely poured a lot of emotions onto this. Hyped for the album. Defo first album I’ll listen to on 25/9

The brand new album of AG Cook is his least interesting album. It blends the sound of 00s pop and EDM and honestly it doesn't sound like the bubblegum bass he typically does. Some of the tracks are great but it lacks the energy, uniqueness and excitement most PC releases have. This album is also messy, rushed and sounds unfinished. Pretty underwhelming to be honest as AG Cook is such a consistent artist.

When I saw your name, I thought @ConcreteCastles was a Crystal Castles ripoff. However, this piece, unopinionated, has totally transcended my expectations. Of a running time of 9 minutes, it has a great atmosphere, great ambition and an avant-garde direction. I wish the mixing is better but overall it's a good track. Keep up the good work and pursue your dreams!

Patd is the most overrated band everywhere except on rym and aoty. Brandon Urie or Brendon Flowers, whoever that guy's name is can't sing at all and they are a very bland band on a whole

However, their signature song sticks out in their mediocre discography. It is an extremely memorable song with a unique chord progression and most importantly, the singer doesn't sound like a suffocated chipmunk. The lyrics are quite horrendous and their overall aesthetic is overwhelmingly edgy but this is ... read more

it';s good but i don't like when it's paired with ham, i prefer the classic wood fired neapolitan with fresh mozzarella and san marzano tomato sauce

so, in short:

White Pony by Deftones, but if thats cheating,

Feedbacker by Boris or
Sea of the Dying Dhow by *shels, but if youre looking to immerse yourself in the more extreme side of metal,

Sunbather by Deafheaven, but if thats too much and Feedbacker and Sea of the Dying Dhow dont interest you,

Crack the Skye by Mastodon

hope ya dig whatever you choose to check out! i have a tendency to ramble on go on and on forever with lists n whatnot, so dont at all feel pressured to listen to more than one album. just felt like giving multiple entry points cuz theres really no one way to go about getting into metal. its deep, its intricate, its complicated, there are so many different sounds and styles--whoever tells you "this one album is the one and only perfect way to be introduced to metal" is doing a disservice to both you and the genre. lemme know what you think of whatever you decide to listen to!

welcome to the site! i accept your challenge >:]

i recommend White Pony by Deftones seeing as youve enjoyed their recent single, although if you feel like thats kinda cheating, ive got some other suggestions.

Feedbacker by Boris and Sea of the Dying Dhow by *shels are both great choices for being introduced to the genre. in fact, the genre of post-metal is generally a good place to start. Sunbather by Deafheaven is a much more extreme version of a similar sound, so if youre looking to jump right into metals more challenging sounds, Sunbather is the perfect place to begin as its one of the most accessible black metal records i can think of (actually a subgenre called blackgaze, but assuming you arent very big on black metal, much of that subgenre is kind of irrelevant until you get accustomed to the genres conventions when broken down to its simplest form). Crack the Skye by Mastodon is a less abrasive yet equally immersive listening experience, way more on the proggy side of things.
I’m on my journey on discovering more music and expanding my music taste. I’d really appreciate you guys if you recommend me music that you think everyone should listen to or recommend me music based on my music taste.
