Why did I just imagine "Old Town Road" being about Lil Nas X getting fucked by his clone in the street?

So, "7" is kinda what I expected it to be. Another great album by Beach Ho--wait... dammit wrong album!

So, "7" is kinda what I expected it to be. "Old Town Road", which is on the track list twice, is the standout. I don't like country at all, but this is a cool fusion of hip hop and country that actually works! But besides "Rodeo" (which has a Cardi B feature I can actually stand), it's not just those two genres and Lil Nas X hops onto several genres like mainstream hip hop on "Panini" and even pop rock on "F9mily (You & Me)" and "Bring U Down". Unfortunately, it doesn't always pan out since the pop rock tracks are fairly generic and most of the tracklist doesn't quite match the fun of the single that started it all. Overall, while it's quite varied and somewhat fun as novelty, it still feels like a rushed attempt to cash in on his own success.

Old Town Road - Remix: 8.5
Panini: 8
F9mily (You & Me): 5
Kick It: 5.5
Rodeo: 7
Bring U Down: 3.5
C7osure (You Like): 7.5
Old Town Road: 9

Score:
6.8
Decent
