Endless Fantasy is undoubtedly an improvement from past projects. The most damning flaw of Power Supply and Dawn Metropolis was a lack of distinction between tracks. The music was fun, but sonic monotony was a real issue. This album, through combing their classic chiptune sound with pop techniques and sensibilities, manages to mostly circumvent that issue. Songs like Prom Night manage to subvert expectations and keep the listener interested. Even more classic chiptune pieces like Planet and Japan Air feel more fleshed out than the tracks on the previous projects. Its far from perfect; there are still a few tracks that bore me. But I still greatly enjoyed this album.
