the blend of r&b and dance pop and hip hop and all the shit on here is absolutely amazing. i’m gonna sound so pretentious but this is such a progressive and mature album and i absolutely love that about it. i also must say i thought that new agenda track with chuck d was absolutely insane when i first heard it.
obviously this isn’t the same album as thriller but i’m gonna compare it to that because i feel like they’re both the same in quality but people don’t talk about this album nearly as much as thriller and that’s honestly a crime. there are so many amazing and iconic tracks on here and this is just another reason why i love janet jackson so much!

god call me fruity but i loooovvveee carly rae jepsen. this album is just absolute peak pop music and i think it’d be a 10 if it was just that first 10 track run because god all those songs are amazing. run away with me has to be in my top 10 songs of all time. i feel like my love for this album just shows how much of a sucker i am for a good pop tune.
shoutout my friend casey for making me listen to this. i always assumed this was an incel album based on the cover but turns out it’s just a beautifully amazing album by a super vocally talented man that we lost too soon! amen.
