Wow. I really enjoyed this one. First off, this album has Joji's best production, best vocal lines, and best put together songs. The second half of this album had me entirely focused on everything that Joji put into these tracks, it was almost like I was in a trance while listening to it. Just every song in the second half was hitting for me. "Pretty Boy" just might be ... read more
Travis Scott, Young Thug, and M.I.A deliver charismatic performances over a hard hitting beat. Although this is definitely a good track, some parts of it feel all over and a little convoluted. That being said though, I like the more experimental route Travis is going for here and makes me quite interested for what sounds and production choices he could choose to make for his next album.
Love the sound on this one and with every new single I keep getting more and more excited for her upcoming album, Nightmare Vacation.

Honestly I don't know why but I've never really been able to get into Freddie Gibbs all that much. I tried listening to "Alfredo" a few months ago but something about it wasn't really sticking to me. So tonight I thought I'd give it another try and I'm kinda glad I did. Alchemist has some absolutely great production all over this album for me "Babies and Fools" ... read more

This was an experience. Phoebe Bridgers delivers a very powerful and reflective album with Punisher. With this being my first exposure to Phoebe Bridgers I was pretty impressed with her songwriting talent, that just got better and better as the album goes on. I also loved how she blended ambient/dream pop elements with folk so well and had some powerful performances that ... read more

DMX is a rapper that I've known for quite a bit as my dad first introduced me to him and the Intro and Ruff Ryders Anthem are songs we love to play in the car. I always loved the energy he brought and some of his rhyme schemes were pretty great as well. I thought I would try this album out and I found that after track 5, I feel like the ... read more

I'm really liking this indie rock/pop record from Chicago band Beach Bunny. This album has some great guitar riffs and Lili Trifilio has some great songwriting and a powerful voice she uses well on the hooks on this thing. I found a lot of the lyrics to be quite relatable and had me reflecting throughout the listen. I don't have anything I could gripe about here, it's honestly just a really solid indie record. ... read more
Edit: This grew on me a whole lot, I've really grown to appreciate just about every aspect of this song. Not to mention there is a lot of replay value in this in my opinion.
Honestly if this is the route Miley wants to go down, after hearing this single I'm all for it. I love the synth pop sound and beat on here and I think Miley has a great hook here as well. My one main gripe with it is that at times I feel like Miley's vocals don't work as well but this is still a pretty enjoyable track.

What a gorgeous synth pop album from the group, Choir Boy. Choir Boy delivers a soothing, dreamy listen with this album while using atmospheric production, heartbreaking lyrics, and a soft, fluttery voice from Adam Klopp. I love a lot of this album but I wish the group could've leaned into more instrumental experimentation and I feel some songs were dragged out like "Nites Like This". ... read more

This is a pretty good album from PC Music artist, SOPHIE. I started listening to this album a while back but for some reason never got around to finishing it, so tonight I thought I'd take a crack at it. While definitely not a bad album by any means, I feel like there's a lot of great ideas, instrumentals, and melodies that I feel like never got to fully develop into something even more ... read more

Samia has so so much talent. I truly feel like she could drop an album that would get an 85+ score from me. She has a great voice and has some great songwriting skills as well. I think where this album really lacks for me is the production. She has great choruses and verses but I feel like the production isn't strong enough to compliment her strong voice well. That being said this is not a bad album at all. The intro track ... read more

Wow. What a gorgeous album from an artist I just heard of this morning. Kelly Lee Owens drops a dreamy, ambient techno album that is filled to the brim with great production. She has an incredible talent for creating these almost otherworldly soundscapes that completely had my attention. Not only was the production great, but her vocals on this thing are great as well ... read more

I feel like I should really like this album but i just really can't get into it. Most of the tracks on here are hit or miss for me and especially on the second half they end up missing. I do appreciate the experimentation and blending of genres on this thing and there are some pretty good cuts on this thing. The experimentation for 2001 pop music ... read more

Great, great, great sounds on this thing. I absolutely love the psychedelic and indie production on here. I can't believe this is the first time I've checked them out but now I'm glad that I have. The lyrics on here you can tell so much thought was put into them and that every song has a purpose on here. This stuff is great, ... read more
I started looking for this on vinyl halfway through the first track.
This is an absolutely beautiful and dreamy pop album for British singer, Kate Bush. On this thing we get stellar production, great vocals, and some great storytelling on the second half of this album. This album is just so great and I would suggest this to anyone who is a fan of pop and art pop.
I think this is a big step up from what Drake has been dropping lately and features some pretty good production. But I didn't find Drake's performance to be all that interesting as the track went on but Lil Durk does come in to add some more energy to the track. It's not bad but it's probably not something I'll play often.
This song just makes me so happy listening to it. I love how well Rico's autotune vocals blend with the Dylan Brady production. This has me thinking what type of sounds we could see on her upcoming album, Nightmare Vacation.

Wow. So I haven't heard about Tkay Maidza before today but I saw a lot of praise for this new project and I was quite intrigued by the cover art, so I thought I'd check it out. And I must say this is one of my favorite projects of the year. The beats she uses on these smooth rnb tracks such as My Flowers and 24k took me back to the rnb I grew up hearing around the house constantly. The melodies she chooses for these ... read more
One of the most beautiful vocal performances I think I've heard all year and I absolutely love the drums that kicked in during the second half. This release has me really excited for what Billie might bring next.

I absolutely love the production on this thing and the delivery and rhyme schemes are quite good from Aesop Rock but a good amount of tracks just feel really empty despite the ambient production. It's definitely not bad but I would like to see Aesop Rock and TOBACCO give another crack at this because I can see quite a lot of potential here.
