Ok so I just finished listening to the longly anticipated album, Eternal Atake, from Philadelphia rapper Lil Uzi Vert. First, I'll start with the good on this album, because I think there are a lot of pros to it. This is a significantly better album compared to Luv Is Rage 2, in retrospect Luv Is Rage 2 feels like a long mixtape and Eternal Atake feels like his debut album. The album opens up to a really spacey trap ... read more

LEAST FAV: Friends With Benefits
I'm gonna start of saying that I understand the complaints about the length of this album. But in my opinion, it just works for this project. I love the work he actually put into the skits in order to create a narrative. It's not something most artists actually care about crafting as much anymore. It has one of my favorite stories told through an album. Song wise ... read more

LEAST FAV: The Fargo Splash
This is a great album from Canadian singer Tory Lanez. I love how he really goes back to early 00s rnb and does it well and effectively. The skits in this thing are also really good, and provide a great backbone to the album. These tracks really provide a good atmosphere especially at night. I suggest this for anyone who loves rnb, I'll be playing some of these tracks on ... read more

Honestly it's not bad, it's just none of these songs feel like they really hit.

I think this is a really good album from Canadian singer, The Weeknd. To start off, I understand why people don't like this album compared to the rest of his discography. But in my personal opinion, this is a really good album with great electropop, rnb, and dance sounds. The Weeknd maintains great vocal performances throughout the album, but I think his lyrics can be subpar ... read more

Tame Impala has managed to create an absolutely beautiful and out of this world experience with this album. This is the first time I have listened to a full length project from them, and now I'm questioning why I haven't checked them out sooner. The synths on this thing are some of the most beautiful loops I have heard on any album, and the whole 80s synth pop / psychedelic rock aesthetic fits the subject matter so ... read more

LEAST FAV: GEEKIN
This is a pretty mediocre project from Florida rapper Ski Mask the Slump God. For about every good or great song on here, there's a really disappointing track. There are some really fun moments on here, with great hard hitting production, and great flows. But even some of the lyrics are really cringy and there's some really mediocre hooks on here as well. There's potential in every song on here, but it'll get messed up by ... read more

LEAST FAV: Bite Your Teeth
Wow. Okay this is the first nu metal / industrial metal album I have ever heard. As a kid who was raised listening to hip hop, gospel, soul, and rnb I was never really exposed to music like this. I was looking through a few needledrop reviews and stumbled upon the I DISAGREE review. I was intrigued by his enthusiasm for this project and how entertaining it was for him. I thought I'd check it out, it'd probably get a 70 out ... read more

LEAST FAV: All I Want
I really wish I could give this album a higher rating, but there's really not too much to this project. Brent Faiyaz has an absolutely beautiful voice and has great performances throughout this album, while taking inspiration from 90s RnB. He does a great job of recreating this sound on songs later on in the tracklist, but overall he doesn't do much to further his sound. Are any of the songs bad? No, not at all. But there's nothing ... read more

This is an overall good album from New Jersey singer and artist Halsey. Halsey is often regarded as a generic pop artist, and after listening to this, I don't really know what to feel about that statement. There are some generic and basic tracks on here such as finally // beautiful stranger and most of the interludes on this thing. But she really has some standout songs on here where I can tell she really put her ... read more

Philly rapper Lil Uzi Vert delivers quite a mediocre project. Let's start with the good things on this album. The production is this album for the most part is really good, especially on the tracks XO Tour Lif3 and Sauce It Up (being the two biggest hits off of this project). He does also have some good melodies and SOME good vocal inflections that he uses to his advantage on certain tracks. The song The Way ... read more

Now this is a posthumous album done right. I am extremely proud of what Mac Miller's estate and record label has done with his recordings and finished songs. I have heard that he recorded a lot of this album before he died, if not the entire thing, and it kind of shows. If you listen to a posthumous album such as Bad Vibes Forever, just about every song had a chorus from X and then a verse or two from a guest feature. On that ... read more

This is an enjoyable project out of California artist Childish Gambino. This has some great upbeat and poppy tracks with great production. Gambino has a lot of good vocal performances on this thing and brings a catchy feel to almost every song. The first three tracks did a great job of setting an aesthetic or feel for the rest of the project, and did a great job of doing that. Honestly though, I ... read more

LEAST FAV: What A Heavenly Way To Die
This is the first album I have heard from pop singer Troye Sivan. And I am extremely impressed. I love the electropop feel and the beat selection he uses to create a good atmosphere for the album. This is definitely a great listen that is sure to be great for really anyone due to someone relatable lyrics. The only downside for me would be the track What A Heavenly Way To Die. The album had a great ... read more

LEAST FAV: Better
I think this ep is pretty underrated in my opinion. while there's nothing too crazy, there are definitely things to be praised. such as Khalid's vocals on Vertigo and Motion. All of these tracks really made me think of growing up and the memories we will have as we are doing so. great little project with some good production and melodies. for anybody who is a fan of pop or alternative rnb.

LEAST FAV (btw still amazing): The Games We Play
being the first project I have heard out of West Coast rapper Pusha T, this really impressed me. there are a lot of great, clever bars accompanied by beautiful Kanye production. the topics he brings up on this things while I cannot relate, he goes into great detail by using stories and metaphors. this is an absolutely great album for anyone who likes solid delivery and lyrics with ... read more
