Wow... what a record.

Packed with absolutely gorgeous, suffocating noise textures which embody many subtle buzzing rhythms within them, this record is very detailed, versatile, and hard to wrap your head around (unlike most drone records which are usually pretty straightforward). The drums are powerful as fuck and absolutely critical to each song (not something you see too often in drone), and the compositions really evolve very much like post-metal. Actually, speaking of genres, I feel inclined to categorize this as post-metal more than anything else, I guess. I don't feel comfortable calling it a rock album and I don't really think of it as electronic. I'm not sure what it is, but one thing is for sure, this is a really enjoyable and unique record. The distressing rooster vocals are reminiscent of Jerome's Dream, and the pounding, suffocating climaxes sound right out of Deathconsciousness. What's not to like?
