the unfortunate part about relationships is sometimes they begrudgingly die off, only by the volition time itself. there really truly is no way to get closure with one another in a way that won’t make us sad. the way “I Didn’t Mean To Haunt You” goes into the perspective of our beloved and shows that it’s really a two way street is so gut wrenching that it makes me think about all the deaths I’ve had in my life as well. the tragedy in something forever lost, ... read more
On “Sincerely,” Kali returns to a dreamy, creamy, and lush R&B sound that somewhat harkens back to her debut album “Isolation”, and I would say it has both its blessings and blemishes.
Kalis’ biggest strengths derive from the vocal variety she is able to produce. Weird, Beautiful, and Mesmerizing inflections, amazingly seamless transitions to Spanish and English, and the ability to reach into her lower register are always amazing highlights on a Kali project. ... read more

it’s definitely the weakest overall thing I’ve heard from dot. To be honest so many of the songs here are complete skips and not all too great. There are some highlights here and there but I don’t think I would actively listen to this whole tape again.
I think the problem for me is that I have never been able to imagine this album without the context of To Pimp A Butterfly. I feel like without TPAB this album would mean so much more to me. However, I really shouldn't put it against this album since its still amazing. good kid, m.A.A.d. city is nothing to be ashamed about in the slightest and is still one of the greatest concept hip-hop albums of all time. Telling the story of young Kendrick Lamar having to struggle through the various ... read more
