Less ambitious than After Hours but not in every way, Abel turns his penchant for synthpop into overdrive crafting a smooth, flowy journey through mature pop music. It peaks right at the end with Less Than Zero, a fantastically written song, and there's no shortage of good stuff elsewhere. Unfortunately there's more than a fair share of duds - for lack of a better term - on here. The entire back half of the record, with the exception of Is There Someone Else? and the aforementioned Less Than Zero is a dead run. Still, it sounds like a record that could grow on me overtime.
