Never in my life have I ever heard a black metal album that's kinda... peaceful in a way? It just has this unbelievably beautiful mix of post-rock and black metal that creates this atmosphere that on the surface feels apocalyptic and evil, but I guess the only way I can describe this is if the world was ending right now, and everything was all about to end in one big bang, and you're just... walking through it. Not minding the chaos happening near you. Just taking it all in and accepting your fate. (I probably stole that description from someone, but man it's accurate.)
I might not have understood a single lyric from this entire thing since they were screaming the whole way through, but they still enhance this already apocalyptic scene Sunbather sets. I never thought I'd be calling a black metal album "beautifully made and atmospheric", but here we are.
