This album has some of the catchiest ballads in the world.
I have nothing against Talib & his projects throughout his career, but this one was tough to listen to. His bars are still raw, but for some reason, half of the time he’s goes off like he just did this one take & called it a day.
Also, the beats are more uptempo, which I know 10 years ago rappers were doing that just to see if they would make it mainstream. But, this is a lot of that & honestly some were catchy & others weren’t all that great.
I think Talib should ... read more
I feel like Nathaniel Rateliff has a great style in his stuff. It’s bringing back old folk rock, which is hard to get on based on what we heard from others. But, Rateliff did a nice job putting most of it together. It’s crispy & heavy along those lines & his voice does add the authentic mood on what it’s going for.
So yeah, this is a must hear from 10 years & I’m sure him & the gang are still going to creating more sparks.
A good effort from this rapper from Amsterdam. The tracks here sounds pretty silk & soft which isn’t bad, but his voice just feels a bit quiet to hear. On the bright side, the production & bars aren’t that bad.
This has a bunch of instrumentals that gets me hype & the bars are some of the impressive & clever stuff I’ve heard. Also, I forgot to add funny because I’ve laughed at few of them.
This album is something to stay away from because the mix of all traits sounds like a spider sneaking up to me while I’m sleeping.
Most of the instrumentals sounds so beautiful. It’s like going on a long vacation in Hawaii, spending most times at the beach with a fruity cocktail.
It’s heavy, hard hitting & neatly in positioned. I’ll take it
I don’t mind these types of metal, but this was tough to get through.
A mini project full of 100% production, which is mix decent enough, but occasionally rough to listen to.
A new album from another BLACKPINK member, & this one might be the best thus far. It’s very compelling & neatly stepped into these types of styles.
Comparing to the other members solo albums, it’s not overblown or stale, Jennie delivers some powerful vocals matching throwbacks & currents genres. But I will say, the features were a mixed bag of solids & dulls, some features I would highlight includes Doechii, Childish Gambino & Kali Uchis making their best ... read more
Probably my least favorite album from the band’s catalog at the moment based on the progression, but the instrumentals & vocals are the saviors from this album for me, so it’s not a big let down.
I’m really enjoying those hard hitting instrumentals here. Also, the vocals are pretty edgy, but at times can be off the rails.
I think Kimbra is well made for making some really good pop music, but the problem I have with her stuff sometimes is that she can goes out of her comfort zone creating different types of pop music, which isn’t a bad thing, it’s not really connecting her in a sufficient way, just like this album right here.
Sure, there are tracks that has a nice flare to it, but others goes too ambiguous & cliched. Overall, comparing to her last album, this had potential, but it ends up ... read more
