jesus christ man
i went into this fully expecting thunder to be the worst song while it's just as bad as anticipated, and jesus christ
i won't say what it is so you can spare yourself from morbid curiosity, but it shares its name with one of the tracks on help! by the beatles. and the two are on the exact opposite spectrum of quality.
haha theatercore anyway
i'm glad that this album's been majorly recovering from what happened to it way back whenever, it's an absolute treasure to me and the story is just so damn depressing i can't help but love it. i don't think it's grown off on me at all. time machine -> stranded lullaby -> dream sweet in sea major is in the running for the greatest three track run in music history and i will perish on that hill. the mix of genres is handled ... read more
tally hall i absolutely love you guys but this is actual dogshit man
i'm not gonna pretend this album doesnt have flaws cause it absolutely does. from be born onward it's a pretty constant string of 7/10s with a select few 10/10s (spring and a storm my befuckinloved) and is all and all definitely inconsistent. that being said, when an album has what, 3 absolute masterpieces and is all around really fun with a couple mid tracks, calling this an outright mixed bag is really harsh.
i do get why be born and banana man are so hated, but i've always ... read more
So! I binged all of Pink Floyd. It was a mixed bag, as to be expected.
Going into this I was really, really concerned that the more experimental stuff wasn't gonna sit right with me. But honestly, it says more about the actual band that it did. It's chaotic, unpredictable, sometimes fails pretty miserably, but I enjoyed it through and through. And I wasn't too surprised when my average score for their discography ended up as 70% that seems about right. And honestly, with a ... read more
glad to be back, like abr- (suddenly, dr. dre gains sentience and tries to kill em with a weedwhacker)
Kendrick make the second to last track on par with the rest of the album challenge
What a journey. I don't really have much history with this one specifically but I just wanna say that every single song other than Crack Music and Celebration is an absolute banger. Even though the production is much more lowbrow, it's so much more jazzy and fun to listen to despite not typically reaching the highs the last did.
I love this one. Possibly as much as it's predecessor.
dude you guys hate EVERYTHING i swear to fucking god
it's obv not perfect but even still this site is absolutely rabid
tickled all the parts of my brain i never knew i even had.
jazz is already amazing but rock layered on top of that is fucking genius man. it's so damn swingy and intense and i loved every second of it.
BANGER soundtrack. Don't understand why a good chunk of the jingles are on the soundtrack but they're short to the point it doesn't get annoying.

when i first listened to dropout back in early 2024, i thought it was laughably, and i mean laughably bad. i think i was still recovering from the whole nazi shit that kanye had dug himself into, and i basically convinced myself that there was no way his music was good in the slightest. but in short, i thought the songs overstayed their welcome, the writing was pretty poor, and... i'm not gonna pretend it wasn't a little bit of the "I'M NOTHIN' LIKE Y'ALL" ... read more
