F♯ A♯ ∞

It feels hopeless. There's nowhere to go. No one to talk to. Darkness around you. There's a flame which provides the only light and warmth, but as much as you try to get close, it will roar violently like it doesn't want you to get any closer or else it will consume you. You feel lost and the only thing you can do is sit down, close your eyes, rest your head on your knees, wrap your arms around your legs like an overwhelmed child, except there is no point in crying. Nothing to cry to. No purpose in tears. No purpose at all. You just have to sit idle for what feels like an eternity and wait for your life to seep out and as you wither, the flame's light becomes dim through your eyelids. To you, death is indifferent to the consciousness trapped in the dark. It's as if you haven't lived at all.
