This is an underground classic. From the jazzy instrumentation, to Jurnalists rapping performance this album never gets old. Please l highly suggest this album. Also i met the band in Edinburgh and there lovely.
The perfect combination of rage-style beats effortlessly fused with glitchy digicore style that Jane has pioneered and mastered over the years. Listening to Revengeseekerz feels like riding a rollercoaster at midnight. Chaotic, loud, and kind of gorgeous in its messiness. On tracks like “Psychoboost” and “TURN UP OR DIE” you can feel Jane’s anger and sadness bleeding into every note. It’s raw. It’s loud. It’s messed up.
At Donda's core, It's another fantastic Kanye album. With grand production, amazing choir vocals and solid features. But, the length really throws it off from being his best since MBDTF. It has a solid start with 'Jail' being the return to the throne backed by a solid beat. But then 'God Breathed' is the first filler cut on the album. The only problem with this album is that too much of the cutting room floor was put on here. 'Jonah', 'Ok Ok', ... read more
i feel like there were a lot of reasons to worry about this album going into it. Wayne’s latest music has sucked and he sounds almost incoherent at times lately. Additionally, the features that the tracklist for this album showed were not promising. There weren't a lot of notable features from actual rappers like Drake or Thug, instead it was Bono and MGK and Jelly Roll, which is concerning. Also what is Peanuts 2 N Elephant, gotta be one of the worst songs of the 2020s. Yes, worse ... read more
Kanye West’s My Beautiful Dark Twisted Fantasy feels like stepping into someone’s chaotic, genius brain. The production is massive and dramatic, and every song hits with emotion or pure hype. It’s messy in the best way. Like he’s showing every flaw and flex at the same time. Honestly, it still sounds unbeatable today. Devil In A New Dress is what i to believe to be one of the best hip hop songs of all time. But songs like Blame Game do weigh down the track list as a ... read more
Graduation feels like stepping into a world that’s brighter and louder with songs that mix confidence, emotion, and crazy-good production. The album’s themes of ambition, fame, and levelling up hit hard, especially with its futuristic beats and bold energy. It’s like a soundtrack for growing up and chasing something bigger. The way it starts with Good Morning and the way he starts rapping is crazy, then also in the song I Wonder it's like he's chasing for freedom. ... read more
This album puts into perspective what she does best, and that's pretty much the spot on mood this gives. It's incredibly calm, relaxing, vibey, all of the above. Her vocals are nice, but even nicer is the really laid back production. It's the tunes and instrumentation for me, above all aspects.
Probably the weakest aspect here is unfortunately her diversity. Unfortunately some of these songs tend to somewhat haze together at times, could be me but I feel that some production ... read more
To Pimp a Butterfly is this super powerful Kendrick Lamar album that mixes jazz and rap while talking about racism, confidence, and dealing with your own problems. It feels deep and emotional, but also really cool and creative, like nothing else out there. This album attacks themes such as racism and police brutality. This is a top 5 album off all time and in my opinion the greatest rap album of all time. Also the best album of the 21st Century.
Instead of giving this album 100 and making a funny joke about how peak the album is, I will actually break down why it is utter garbage. For one: vocals. I have listened to many songs that could've been great, but the vocals destroy the whole song. I mean, come on. Listen to how this man is rapping. Instead of hiding his voice cracks, he doubles down on it and exaggerates it. I don't even think the man has vocal cracks at this point; he's just doing it because it's funny. ... read more
Certified Lover Boy somehow manages to be 1 hour and 27 minutes of some of Drake’s most boring, lazy, and least interesting music ever. And unlike his other albums, there is close to no replay value but the songs i do pull from this album are some of Drakes best. Champagne Poetry is top 10 Drake but theres TOO MUCH BLOAT! He genuinely thought "you said you a lesbian girl me too" was a bar. Love All is with JAY Z and is sub par and same with Girls Want Girls, N 2 Deep, Way 2 Sexy ... read more
this reminds me a lot of drake's album honestly, nevermind. the most surface level house with some high points. i had high hopes after listening to dracula on repeat but nothing else on the album hits like that track. all of the long instrumental builds on tracks like ethereal connection and end of summer don't feel satisfying or like it justifies the length. i find it hard to get into the trance that the album tries to put me in, like Currents did. Honestly disappointed. I might not ... read more
The only reason this isn’t a 0 is because of
2 Chainz - Don’t care for the verse, but he makes fun of Xan on his own song and I love that and i found that funny lol - don’t hate the track, FAR from amazing though. Still a 3/10 song tho
Charli XCX Feature - came through somewhat well on the song? Don't think I'll listen to it ever again
Betrayed - this is the ‘highlight’ of the album but at what cost
That is literally it.
This was awful

probably my favourite album for autumn. the halloween and creepy vibes on this LP is impeccable and the atmospheric parts of these tracks are exceptional mostly due to the amazing production. The production and writing on some songs sounds just feel straight up uncomfortable or even scary, like the music box beat on jumpscare or the writing on waterproof mascara with the horry movie piano loop in the back with the girl crying, it just feels weird. I think billy’s voice is perfect for this ... read more
A phenomenal project thats perfect, amazing features, amazing concept absolutely amazing rapping, technicality & lyricism by Freddie Gibbs on top of magnificent Alchemist production. This album is consistent all the way through and a lot of different types of styles of song structuring skills used by Freddie on this album. Maybe best of the decade. Another one to add to Freddies 10 on 10s list. This man is unstoppable. Every song feels like your on golden yacht in the Bahamas eating caviar ... read more
This is essentially a soulful rap record built on reflective storytelling. The production and especially the writing is exceptional and Coles craft is undeniable, but some songs feel unfinished. But the highs are undeniable. Tracks like “No Role Modelz” and “Love Yourz” are some of the best rap songs of the 2010s decade. It feels like a boy turning to a man, talking about the trouble ships of life.
I used to listen to this record a lot but it kinda grew off me. The consistency falls short and the writing also falls deep into nothing. But the versatility is unmatched, the amount of genres they exceed in is crazy and they incorporate a top 10 MF DOOM verse but sometimes it feels quite lacklustre because of all the genre switches. Also it's one of the most influential albums of the 2000s. Production unmatched.
This is basically a Jazz album with Rap-singing on top.
Only reason I didn't rate this higher is that the instrumentation can get a bit busy and it ends up getting slightly distracting on some tracks. But the highs are too high to ignore. Songs like Run Run Run Pt II is phenomenal. The consistency in the track list is also absurd. Could've Been Different is a top 5 song of this year as well.
Songs In The Key of Life is almost 2 hours, but the uplifting shining vocals Stevie Wonder provides keeps you entertained all the way through. Imagine you're taking a road trip with your family over the summer, and you're all happy. This is what you want to play. Soulful landmark that influenced many many others!
Amazing LP with near to no flaws. Fabulous story telling and some of the best in music period
