it's better than the original for sure, I have a little issue with the instrumental but it's more enjoyable than everything I've heard to this day, so yeah, great!
AAAAAAAAA IT'S SO DAMN GOOD THANK YOU CAR SEAT HEADREST FOR BLESSING MY SOUL ONCE AGAIN
I'm really hopeful for The Scholars, especially that 18 minute song. GO CAR SEAT HEADREST !!!
ps: do you guys also feel that Beatles vibe or am I going crazy?
this was such an adventure from first to last song (wink wink)
I gotta admit, yesterday I was saying to myself that today he would drop like a completely sucky album with comedic beats for 3 minutes than 31 mins of silence, turns out it was not the case! this album feels like home and freedom, no seriousness or control over it, no label induced modifications (exception: THIS BEAT DROP HAS BEEN SIEZED BY ATLANTIC RECORDS AND HAS BEEN REPLACED WITH SILENCE), just pure existing tracks, and I LOVE ... read more
I thought it sounded good and actually got me interested into Alex Turner's solo music when I never looked into it really well.
so thanks?
(warning: I do not support the presumed actions this person has made, I do support him getting better and growing as a person tho)
fuck yeah, I'm so hyped for a myd return and I just want the new album to release ffs, born a loser was my fav dance record and I'm so ready for whatever's coming next
song for you: 100/100
the wizard: 80/100
overall: 90/100
I mean, what is there to say?
THAT ALBUM IS AWESOME
okay it does misses some sour sweet in some places, I'll give it to you for that one, but otherwise for a 2013 LP that was self published, that album is probably the best Oliver Tree project ever.
I wish that sometimes that guy would go back to his roots, instead of just doing mainstream pop hits that will hit the charts, we need THIS Oliver Tree, I hate the new one.

I'm not very fond of rap, however this apparently is the best album of all time, so if this (not very much of a) review gets 15 likes, I'll listen to it.
One day, AOTY woke up and decided to shit on an album by Ramones' Dee Dee King, and I thought it would have been unjustified, until I pressed play... My wife left me, the kids thought I became crazy, they interned me into a psychiatric hospital, put me on a list of the worst psychologic cases of the country, sentenced me to jail time then to death penalty. I managed to escape just to say 5 words:
RUN AWAY FROM THIS ALBUM...
they found me again, goodbye.
a million times yes, just YES
this album was made by Elena Tonra, the third of the london dream pop/folk band Daughter, which has released 3 albums and a soundtrack in the past 12 years. after the band's album Not To Disappear (4AD) and the soundtrack for Life Is Strange (Music From Before The Storm), Elena went solo for a while and decided to release her solo recordings as Ex:Re this time. what makes the difference between what Daughter does and what Ex:Re sounds like is that it's ... read more
The third LP from American Football is my favorite, I'm not scared to say it.
I was already a big fan of dream pop before so diving into the album was like diving into something familiar and comforting almost. I really love the opener, Heir Apparent and Doom In Full Bloom, they're the best songs the band ever made in my opinion.

#05 - Loss Of Life (2018)
"When the world is born and life is ending, then you learn to love your loss of life."
Little Bright Age as many called it is probably one of my favorite records of 2024. This is incredible how MGMT still manages to stay revelant and fun with how they manipulate their music over the years, making bangers is their true nature, we love them.
I don't have much to say about this LP, except that the Christine and the Queens ... read more

MGMT DISCOGRAPHY REVIEW
#04 - Little Dark Age (2018)
Well, I'm not scared to say my entire knowledge of MGMT about 12 months ago was the title track, but I'm still scared to say that it's one of the greatest pop works MGMT has ever done, fuck Electric Feel.
Everything in that album is perfect, catchy, poetic and accessible while remaining weird, lyrically filled at times and keeping the overall theme of MGMT sounds. Anyways, peak MGMT performance like always. I love the track ... read more
MGMT DISCOGRAPHY REVIEW
#03 - MGMT (2013)
I'll go straight: the ones who'll tell you that this album sucks because it's weird and that the only good element is the lyricism are likely the ones who never listenned to a MGMT project from the early 2000's. I'm pretty sure that most people who are familiar with how MGMT evolved in time will agree to say that this is probably of the best projects they've ever made, like on a very serious note.
Here's the thing, ... read more
I'm a Daughter fan, I'm a Stereo Mind Game fan, I love this live version.
