"Son, I found your fedora. At first I thought you were a br*ny and I was going to be very disappointed. But then I found your giant stash of checkered vans and hawaiian shirts. Ska punk forever, son. Ska punk forever."

This album has grown on me like the way the music grows & builds and builds and BUILDS on itself. I've offered this album as a gateway drug to friends who are new to ballin music and indoctrinated them further from there so for THAT I gotta give it that 89 boyyyyyyy

"'Hunter' continues the story of Bloodhail; the Hunter ascends a staircase made of all of humanity and strikes down God with a fury of arrows. In the zine that comes with the album, this is a metaphor told by an Antiochean prophet who is watching Antiochus, the nihilistic, central character in the zine, burn to death.

Once God is on the ground, dead, He tells the Hunter, humanity, and even the animals to eat His flesh as needed."

Man u ever remember that Leonard Cohen is dead and :'/

His poetry has had such a big influence on me and my understanding of my Jewish faith from somebody who was raised non-religious..i listen to this album and I hear God

There's good albums, there's REALLY good albums, and there's albums that make you feel emotions nothing natural in life could provide for, only something made in our fellowship of man.

Rest in peace.

Do you think that ZUN made his games as non-sexualized as possible because he knew everybody would pull that weight for him, and then some? Do you think God stays in heaven because He, too, lives in fear of what he's created?

Penis music This album is genuinely so awful we played it at the dinner table one time with my parents and brother and everybody except my mom was drunk so we kept interrupting each other and mom got so upset that she didn't get her chance to speak that she pulled up her laptop and was like. "Im reading an article. That says 'how to leave your 9-5 job and peruse your creative dreams." and then me dad and my brother started shooting the shit again right as Spanish Caravan started ... read more

My favorite thing is hearing about the different emotions this strikes in people, and the stories this album tells them alone. One I've heard is the feeling of somebody you barely know going off the deep end and all you can do is watch in grim anticipation and horror. For me it's the feeling of somebody well-meaning being used as a tool to do the opposite of their intentions. To me, this is the anti-feel-good album that transfixes and pulls you into personal, familiar darkness.

First time I've listened to these guys since high school! I think that's a rather unfortunate association considering their music is cool. I remember listening to Skinny Fists and having it just be like, a ray of hope through the depression I was battling. And this album seems to find me when I'm still trying to carve out a place in the world, a less personal version of struggling and the incomprehensible calamities that went down just last year. I think it's generally hard to make a political ... read more

"I relate and empathize the most with people who have recovered from self-loathing tendencies since I have too and I think those people tend to have the most pro-positivity taste in music (KSG, IDLES, Andrew W.K.) but I can't bring myself to sympathize with people who I deem younger versions of myself by extension"
