I listened to it 3 times over and didn't fall asleep; so that's a reason to be proud of myself today!
Yeah, its pretty mid. I'm only keeping about 14/26 (like 50% of tracks) and out of those maybe 6 are ones I'll actually listen to atleast another 2 times.
Some tracks I liked (No ranking order): NUPPY INTRO, NSM, SUPERTUNE!!, rookie 2 barbie, Roundtripski, YOMF/OUTRO, Diamond Stitching, Free Mr. Banks
I'm very conflicted cus its just art pop but that wasn't what I was expecting or really wanted? Not bad but not what I wanted.
A sweet compilation; at its best with the vocal chops, I'm God is one of the greatest beats period.
What could have been an absolute great mixtape is unfortunately hurt by a bloated track list. A pattern with some songs is that the beat is minimal and boring; despite the fact that Danny Brown's voice simply makes it exciting, his messages are polarizing between insightful and uncomfortably wacky which makes it a little less replayable for me.
This could have honestly been an 8.5/10 if it was cut down to the following 10 tracks:
1. XXX
2. Die Like a Rockstar
3. Pac Blood
4. Monopoly
5. ... read more
Too drowned in autotune, while also being relatively sleepy. I didn't find any of the songs bad per say but most of them were boring. Honestly I didn't dislike Rusty Intro I thought it was really funny.
WNBA, Slap The City, High Fives, and Classic were solid. White Bone had the chance to be good but just became boring
Solid album actually overhated
best: Burning Hammer, No Strippers in Heaven, Yen, War over Land, Pop this Heat, Money
Worst: head, the first amendment, meat the dealers, chat, baby girl
ON ONE TONIGHT IS THE ONLY GOOD SONG GUNNA HAS EVER MADE CUS I DONT SLEEP IMMEDIATELY.
Not that bad, a little boring at times and I didn't like them saying planet frooog after the first few tracks. But its my first intro to the guys music so imma give it a chance.
Am I deaf or is this amazing? I've listened to a few Isaiah Rashad projects here and there but I've never really thought he was all too interesting. So far, half the tracklist in, this is so amazing. Hooks are extremely catchy, voice and production are great, what's not to love?
Che has legit won. He can simultaneously release an EP completely different to the sound his fans have been familiarized to while also releasing music of the style he's known for, all the while having a fan base constantly supporting his artistic decisions.
Makes me wonder what the next album might sound like
