Richard & Linda Thompson - I Want to See the Bright Lights Tonight
NR

Rolling Stone #485 I have literally no idea what to expect, hope its good.

Fugazi - Repeater
NR

The wheel picked this one for me so now I gotta review this album.

John Mayer - Continuum
NR

Rolling Stone: #486

I like John Mayer a lot because of his guitar skills and I want to see how great of a musician he is.

Kendrick Lamar - To Pimp a Butterfly
NR

I know that this is a Rolling Stone Top 500 album but I couldn't resist reviewing this. I need to review this. Based on the reviews this may become one of my new favorite albums.

Rolling Stone #487 the cover is really cool let's see how good this album is.

There is no denying that this is a great punk record. I love the energy of this album, however it doesn't do very much for me besides that. I did feel that this record would have fit snugly in the late 90s to 2000s, so I was surprised to see that it was made in 1981, truly ahead of their time. However, this album doesn't really hold up as being great or deserving of being in the Rolling Stone Top ... read more

King Crimson - In the Court of the Crimson King
98

Time for me to review this album, let's see if the hype is real. The wheel picked this, iykyk.

This is an incredible album, the songs were long but there were no skips for me. The fourth track was definitely the weakest, but it wasn't bad at all, just a little too long and boring. Coming from a Pink Floyd fan, this is some of the most progressive rock I have ever heard. The strongest songs were obviously the first and last track. I couldn't skip a single song if I tried, this ... read more

The Stooges - The Stooges
80

Rolling Stone #488 I think I will like this record but I have never heard of these guys before. This'll be interesting.

For the precursor of punk rock, it definitely sounded like a precursor. Both in a good and bad way, it is innovative for sure, these guys are rockers for sure, but they seemed direction less, which is hard to do when you are innovating but We Will Fall is the worst addition to this album. We Will Fall is by far the worst song on this album and it is 10 minutes long. I ... read more

Ween - The Mollusk
83

You know the drill, the wheel picked this one.

I didn't want to like this album but I enjoyed it quite a bit. The beginning and end are weak, I only liked like 3 songs out of 8 (What I mean by "out of 8" is the first four songs and the last four songs) The best songs were in the beginning and end though, The Mollusk, Ocean Man, and Buckingham Green. However the middle part was the best string of songs this album had to offer. Even if the vocals were weird, the guitar and synths ... read more

Dio - Holy Diver
83

The Wheel made me pick this next... Dio is awesome so this should be good.

So I listened to this and this is straight up fun metal. All the songs are done very well but other than that it doesn't have much depth to me. This was a great album that I really enjoyed. The reason I don't want to give this album anything higher is because I don't really know what to say about it. It was an album that was fun, well written instrumentally and lyrically, and the singer did great. Nothing much more than ... read more

Phil Spector - Back to Mono (1958-1969)
72

Rolling Stone #489 So this is interesting... I am going to rate probably the longest album on this list. I have already listened to the Christmas album. Let's see if Phil Spector can made another great album/compilation/whatever.

I know this is a compilation album so I should expect it to be bloated however, it drags on for so long. There are so many great songs but it was hard to listen to the whole thing. I don't think that this should be included not only for the fact that it is a ... read more

King Geedorah - Take Me to Your Leader
83

So I used a spinner online (attributing each release I added in my list "Albums/EPs/Mixtapes I Need to Review" to a number) and the spinner picked this album for me... let's see if this is any good.

So I didn't realize that this is MF DOOM until listening to this album lol. I think this album was a lot weaker than Madvillainy but very good, the highs of this album were very high but the lows were also very present in this album. Fazers was far and away the best song however Fastlane, ... read more

Linda Ronstadt - Heart Like a Wheel
80

Rolling Stone #490 Country Rock... This feels like it will be similar to Bonnie Raitt's album but let's see!

This was better than I was expecting, absolute female country powerhouse of an album. The starting track is one of my favorite country songs, but the rest feels subpar to it, if the rest were like that first song I would've given this a 90. I don't think everything else was bad but just not as good as the first track. I didn't like Heart Like A Wheel and When Will I Be Loved which is ... read more

Harry Styles - Fine Line
53

Rolling Stone #491 I guess we are here now. Hope I can enjoy this one but I don't think I will. I hope this album will surprise me.

It didn't, very lame. I barely liked Adore You, and Golden and Falling were the only songs that I felt good listening to. Everything else ranged from mediocre to painfully boring. This is the worst album I have reviewed from this list so far. If you like Harry Styles or boring pop music then listen to this album, otherwise I wouldn't bother. Harry's vocals are ... read more

Michael Bublé - Christmas
NR

This is the third and final Christmas album I'll review this year. Any more albums would probably make me sick of Christmas lol. I like Michael Bublé a lot so this record looks like it will be fun!

Honestly the best Christmas album I have reviewed so far. I don't care what you all say, Michael Bublé has created the the best Christmas album (at least of the albums I know). This feels so much like Christmas for me, if I ever was to feel in the mood for Christmas all I need to do is ... read more

Frank Sinatra - A Jolly Christmas from Frank Sinatra
NR

Before reviewing Harry Style's Album "Fine Line" for the next entry on the Rolling Stone List. I am going to listen to three Christmas albums in a row, I will queue these up so that when it is closer to Christmas time, I can listen to them and review them on here. Also I weirdly love this kind of vocal jazz, which is why I picked Sinatra and Michael Bublé this year, but before them I will listen to Phil Spector's album. Next year I will do some other artists. When ever I listen ... read more

Various Artists - A Christmas Gift for You from Philles Records
NR

Since it is December, it is only right that I review an album like this. Phil Spector is a horrible person but I liked the project with The Ronettes, so I think this will be a good list of Christmas Music.

This was a really fun album, not necessarily what reminds me of Christmas but I can definitely see the appeal. This was a well done project with some great vocals. It is a little dated but that is to be expected from an album from 1963. There were a few songs that were ok but not much more ... read more

Bonnie Raitt - Nick of Time
70

Rolling Stone #492 I have never heard of Bonnie Raitt, but I assume that this is girl power country. The user score is worrying but I like country so maybe I might enjoy it more that everyone else.

I did enjoy it more than everyone else however I still only will give this a 70. I liked about a little more than half the album but the back half saved the album for me. Nick of Time is easily the best song on this album, but Real Man, I Will Not Be Denied, and the Road's My Middle Name are also ... read more

Orville Peck - Pony

I really like Dead of Night, looking at the track ratings, the rest isn't as good, but I still hope to enjoy this album.

This was absolutely gorgeous. This album is such a unique take on country. Shoegaze and Country? I never thought it would work but it does. It is because of this man's beautiful vocals, I don't know if it is the instrumentals messing with me but his voice is so unique. The production on the background of this album immersed me into this world, I really did ... read more

Rolling Stone #493 Marvin Gaye has made some great songs but I have heard absolutely nothing from this album. Also the album cover is absolutely awesome.

I assume that Marvin Gaye has better albums than this however don't sleep on this album. This is an album created by Marvin Gaye in order to pay the alimony he owed his wife after their divorce. Here, My Dear starts the album off great. The album is strong in the first five tracks. In the middle it is really shaky, for me it is very hit or ... read more

Slipknot - Slipknot
90

Slipknot is one of my favorite bands so I think this review will most likely be biased. I like Eyeless, Wait and Bleed, and Eeyore. I have never listened to an entire Slipknot album in full even while being fans of them, so I will take that chance soon.

This album is AMAZING everything a Slipknot fan could want from an album. It was aggressive. I kinda wanna punch someone in the face right now. I still like those three up there but I also liked Spit it Out, Purity, and Liberate. There are two ... read more
