Metallica - One

This is not only Metallica's best song in my opinion (for the longest time I said it was MOP, but One has gotta take the cake), but it's also one of the greatest songs ever created, period.

Absolutely fucking legendary and amazing in every way shape or form. The lyrics cover PTSD that soldiers experience, the whole song tells a story not only in its lyrics but in its sound. The clean sad ballad-y guitars are just absolutely mind-blowingly beautiful, one of my favorite clean guitar riffs I've ever heard, if not the best clean guitar riff I've ever heard. The drum work is amazing, the bass is inaudible (who needs bass anyways smh) and the vocals are incredible.

This track really has it all. In the 2nd half, it progresses to a more Thrashy sound with an amazing hard riff and a lot of energy, there's so much variety, excitement, and emotion in the 8 minutes. You're not bored for one second, obviously. It's such a perfect song, there's really nothing quite like it.
