Foregone

The legends are back! Their newer releases haven't been good but I had hope for this album since the singles were AMAZING. All of them. I'm a big fan of their older stuff, I even have a CD for The Jester Race. I predicted that this will be their 2nd best album, so was I right?

Well, the album was really solid and enjoyable, but I might've expected just a little bit more. Especially because the singles were so good, the album songs themselves are... well, kinda just there. They're okay. Maybe releasing less singles would've been better because I'm not sure I got any new song from this album that wasn't a single that I loved. A lot of them were just okay.

Style-wise, it's a mix between Melodeath and Alt Metal, and it works really well in a fresh way on this album!

The 2nd half could've been cut, because there is a solid amount of filler there unfortunately, but I still did enjoy the album and is definitely a huge comeback for In Flames, especially after the few latest albums before.

So yeah I can't complain about this, thought I would enjoy the album listen a tad bit more, but either way, it's really good!
