THE METAL SUBGENRE CHALLENGE #003 - THRASH METAL
In this challenge, I'll be taking a look at various albums I haven't heard yet from a variety of different Metal subgenres. I'm quite familiar with the genre, but I really want to dive into the specific subgenres and analyze them.

Now, I've heard almost all Metallica albums (MOP is one of my fav albums ever), however, I have never listened to their debut album Kill 'Em All for some reason. So I thought it would be convenient to finally listen to this for the first time and cover the Thrash Metal challenge episode with it. So let's get into it.

While I don't think this is anywhere near Metallica's strongest album, I did still enjoy it. It's a solid Thrash Metal album, and good for a debut. In terms of Thrash as a genre, I usually really enjoy it, especially from bands like Metallica and Slayer. This album is energetic, fun, and upbeat. While it doesn't really have many mind-blowing stand-out tracks, it flows together well and has some good songs on it.

The production is also quite good for a debut and Kirk's solos on here are actually great. Good, but I do personally prefer the darker sound from them on MOP, RTL, and Justice For All. This album also hasn't aged quite as well as those ones.

But hey, it's still better than pretty much anything they've released recently and If someone called this the peak Metallica, I wouldn't argue.
