deathcrash - Less

Slowcore is a genre that's very near and dear to my heart. I Could Live In Hope by Low will always be one of the greatest pieces of art ever released imo. So I was very curious about this, obviously. I haven't heard much from Deathcrash, although I'm pretty sure I've checked out a few tracks on their last album, but I can't recall any of them.

And immediately with the first track, I knew I was going to like this. This gives me that OG Slowcore vibe that I love. Low, Red House Painters, and Spokane. This particularly reminds me of Spokane and Codeine, it's beautiful, as a Slowcore album should be. The melodies here are exactly my cup of tea, the vocals are fantastic and I also love the percussion and drum work, it's so light yet so beautiful.

The first song Piroette is probably my favorite song this year, if not no. 1, then definitely top 3. It's gorgeous, and really is on par with some of Slowcore's greats.

Amazing. Beautiful. We need more Slowcore in 2023.

FAV TRACKS: Pirouette, Distance Song, And Now I Am Lit, Empty Heavy

I loved the track Horses from their last one, so I'm excited to check this out. And yes, Low's I Could Live In Hope is legendary.

@hippocritic it really is, one of the best albums of all time. I think this is better than their last one, even though i haven't heard that one in full

@ATOMICFLARE(ultravox) definitely give it a shot, but I'm not sure you'll like it if Slowcore's not for you
