Mitski - The Land Is Inhospitable and So Are We

My introduction to Mitski, and while it's not my cup of tea, I can still appreciate the great musicality.

The epic cinematic production is really beautiful, the strings are also arranged absolutely beautifully. The vocals aren't super my thing, but they are still really good, her singing is pretty impressive.

The project is pretty slow and Chamber-y, which maybe deters me from it a little bit, but I'd say I still enjoyed this. Quite an eloquent exquisite listen if I do say so myself. Not necessarily something I'll be coming back to much if at all, but as a one-time experience, it is really good.

It all just feels very mature and self-realized, maybe I wish it had more of an emotional impact, but still...

The project doesn't take many risks either, it's just some quality Folk/Pop music. So if you're into that, you'll love this. And I quite like it myself too. Don't have much else to say, but yeah, this is definitely good!
