Bathory - Under the Sign of the Black Mark (1st Wave Black Metal)

Taake - Nattestid Ser Porten Vid (2nd Wave Norwegian Black Metal)

Ulver - Bergtatt (Atmospheric Black Metal)

Ne Obliviscaris - Portal of I (Progressive Metal)

Panopticon - And Again Into the Light (Folk Metal)

Autopsy - Mental Funeral (Death/Doom Metal)

Don't stumble in to any rabbit holes on accident either.

Now I haven't listened to a lot of jazz metal, but here's a pretty good example is Cojum dip's self titled album Cojum Dip. Take a crack at it if you're interested.

The Converge or Deftones for example weren't, but As I Lay Dying and A Day To Remember were. It's also bascially a ranking of the albums, not the genres
