DISC ONE REVIEW:
COMPOSITION, WRITING, SOUND
Emotional, Heartbreaking, and melancholic, the first disc opens strong and closes with unique writing and sound combination. The album has so much detail. The haunting synths, and arpeggios in the background. The lack of fullness in the songs is positive as it creates a raw emotional feeling. At times the number of instruments and fullness rises and creates dizziness and loss of focus. (And that's a good thing) The worst song on this disc is "And" which is sooo forgettable. But when listening I realize it is very nice to hear and is a great transition from "Drugs" to "Rock + Roll"

LYRICS AND VOCAL CONTENT:
Vocally, he shines here. Everything about his high notes incredible. No performance feels out of place. He captures the mood of each song and everything is simple yet so complex. His vocals have a strong and powerful punch, but the mood and melodies portray him as broken down. The lyrics themselves, however, are the most straightforward things on this album (except for "Rock + Roll") Most of the album is full of typical pop break up lyrical content.

MIXING, MASTERING, OVERALL PRODUCTION
The best part of the album. The distortion on the synths, the pop of the percussion, the simple production of the vocals, wow. I always hated how so many albums throw a million garbage effects on a perfect vocal. And yes, Autotune can be an artistic effect that I support, and autotune (used minimally) is kinda necessary in pop songs, but many producers go way too far. Sometimes a huge amount of effects sound nice, but in most instances? No. The vocal effects here are the distortion along with standard EQ and Compression. Anything else is used for detail and isn't in your face. The other use of distortion on the guitar and synths is very nice as well. The levels are nice, the master doesn't destroy the dynamics, this is seriously some good production.

DISC 2 REVIEW
COMPOSITION, WRITING, SOUND
This disc takes a similar moody approach, except for the hopeful and uplifting "Fumes" (which I'll let out my frustrations with that one soon) "XO" and "Circles" are a nice ending taking a softer less glorified for a straight forward approach. But that isn't a bad thing. The 2nd disc feels like all bonus tracks, but structured together and slightly more developed. THAT is a bad thing. It feels like these were just forced into this to extend the length. But it's enjoyable none the less.

LYRICS AND VOCAL CONTENT:
Again, he shines here. The vocals are great, the lyrics are ok but overall SUPER enjoyable. XO feels like it should've had a different singer. But most lyrical content here is amazing.

EXCEPT FOR GNASH'S FEATURE IN "FUMES". WOW, this is a great example of how just because a song is good on their OWN, they don't fit in every genre or compared with other singers. Gnash is annoying in this and doesn't fit. UGH this ruined such a great song. Who can listen to this and think "OH YEA THAT SOUNDS GREAT!"?

MIXING, MASTERING, OVERALL PRODUCTION
Just like the first disc, this is amazing. The loud banger Fumes, while ruined by gnash, has great choruses, the distorted XO synths that for some reason feel different from the rest of the album, even though, it's common in the album. XO is very special despite its simple writing and production. This latter half of the Album has different yet similar, approaches and comes out great for the most part.

FIRST DISC: 9/10
SECOND DISC: 8/10

FAV TRACKS: SEX, DRUGS, ROCK + ROLL, XO.
