The Texas-Jerusalem Crossroads is a 94-minute post-rock/shoegaze epic of Josh T. Pearson's creation. It's one of the strangest albums I've heard, and definitely fit the idiom ''don't judge a book by its cover'' as it has one of the most jaw-droppingly hilarious album covers ever. The album is jam-packed with Christian themes, which combine in odd fashion with the post-rock sounds of crashing guitars. The album helps forge this patriotic country-like atmosphere that compliment the drone-like ... read more

I find it problematic listening to the main theme of this soundtrack, I always find myself choking up. The soundtrack is quite prominent throughout the series, an ethereal post-minimalism score that accompanies a sophisticated, personal detective story. Composed by Icelandic multi-instrumentalist Ólafur Arnalds, Broadchurch and it’s soundtrack somehow makes the neverending void of darkness that is life even larger. The music is tragic, desolate and depressing, this soundtrack alone ... read more

Cristobal Tapia de Veer constructs an inescapable eerie soundscape that accompanies a whimsical demoralizing plot. He uses authentic human voices and nature recordings and incorporates them into this distorted soundtrack that covers everything from post-industrial to IDM. The soundtrack helps carry a narrative that entertains morbid cynicism, as we watch ... read more

The Beastars soundtrack, composed by 神前暁 (Satoru Kosaki) gracefully compliments a complex story of love, multiculturalism and social diversity. The soundtrack is an alluring blend of modern-classical and soft-jazz, which commends the cinematic world of Beastars. The soundtracks style takes after the noir-esque aesthetic of the manga series, adding to the sense of perplexity and mystery. 神前暁 (Satoru Kosaki) was clearly evoked by world music, with evident Latin/French jazz influence. ... read more

Hey, I hope you're doing well.

I'm making a list and I'd love to know which album has had the greatest influence on your current taste in music? If you want, I'd also appreciate it if you could say exactly how it's made you grow/learn more as a listener (don't worry, you don't have to do this part).

Thank you for reading and answering, if you do.
