Not many 2023 releases have caught my attention, but this one was recommended to me by a friend and since I like this genre, I was willing to give it a shot. And hey it's pretty damn enjoyable. I don't think The Murder Capital are essentially reinventing Post-Punk or doing anything groundbreaking, but I think the Art/Indie Rock elements such as in the more emotional tracks like The Stars Will Leave Their Stage that are on play on this album really help Gigi's Recovery stand out amongst other modern albums of this style. A Few boring moments around the middle but I think this overall a pretty good post punk album.
