Never gave this a real listen when it first dropped. Revisiting now it’s clear a lot of these songs were essentially demos for what we got on idmthy. Genuinely love most of it.
Dasani is fucking great as well. Fuck the haters ✌🏼
11th anniversary the other day. This was the first album I ever bought on iTunes. An iconic moment and a true certified classic album.
It’s one of those things. This album was in my rotation non stop in 2014, year 11 high school. So I can understand I’m probably looking back with nostalgia glasses. Still good tho imo.
The first 8 tracks are good, highs and lows easily being the standout & space and time very underrated imo.
Boring for about 6 songs after that then picks up again at the end. Really can't understand why he didn't put the singles on this album as they clear like 90% of the songs lol.
I might be preempting it but this might be my AOTY. Sonically it’s fantastic - Brian’s singing has improved significantly since The Sailor, along with the rapping. Enjoyed this album thoroughly. Timezones is tied with forgone for song of the year.
Rating to come after a few more listens but this shit is genuinely great so far
