Very consistent and well produced album, this is what every R&B album should want to be like. One gripe is the amount of interludes. As a fan of interludes I feel like some of them could've been integrated into the following track without needing to take up a slot on the record. It could've made space for a new full length song., but that's a minor gripe if anything.
This album has great production and really good singing coming from someone who didn’t really like how Willow sang. However I feel like with some of these shorter tracks and some parts in the songs Willow wastes time by doing nothing and it’s disappointing because ALL of these songs are produced so well. I wish more was just done with the shorter tracks and empty spaces in songs.
Nothing really bad about it it’s just Regina’s unique singing takes a bit to get used to and by that point the album was almost done. It just didn’t click with me as early as it should’ve
Very consistent and beautiful record, however it did lack some variety in the middle of the record but the last few songs pulled me back in
Incredibly diverse rapping styles, great beats and the production holds up VERY well
A bit of a step down from They're Only Chasing Safety, due to how generic it sounds to any other metalcore record. They're Only Chasing Safety had more of a unique spin on the screams and the vibe but Define the Great Line sounds pretty basic in the grand scheme of things and I find myself revisiting it less. However, it is hard to even hate a small bit of this album despite it's flaws. The production is better than They're Only Chasing Safety and sometimes some songs feel ... read more
One of my favorite emo, metalcore, hardcore albums. Seriously catchy choruses from songs like Down, Set, Go and A Boy Brushed Red Living in Black and White. The eerie guitar in alot of songs like Reinventing Your Exit and The Impact of Reason really sell the album's aesthetic. This album is always playing in my head, catchy and good for beginners of this type of music.
Very catchy, there's some misses for sure but overall a nice album. I just would've liked way more substance over repetition
I never thought twenty one pilots would make something on par with Trench but they did it, it's not better than Trench but they're like peak twenty one pilots albums. Clancy explores alot of styles and genres and while being inconsistent it doesn't really phase me since we get alot of exploration into mixes of sounds and genres we haven't seen since Trench. While Scaled and Icy was good it just wasn't as daring as any other twenty one pilots album, it doesn't have ... read more
The vibes were so good in this song everything felt chill I just wish some sections weren't as shallow.
Loved it, it gave "The Hype" but in Clancy form. Preferred the lyrics more than Overcompensate, probably the best out of the 3.
Love the mix of pop and R&B, smooth vocals just alot of songs can be forgettable
Love this EP, so good love the R&B and pop mix it's just all great for a debut. It's not perfect I think a few songs could have been more interesting like hostage and idontwannabeyouanymore but this EP is what I compare every other record of hers to because of how good it is.
It's okay, tries to hard to be edgy and dark and I feel like this album won't age well with time
