not bad but a bit underwhelming, i feel he’s lost something production wise here it sounds much more washed out than his older stuff
his best solo studio album since views, like.. still not that great, but isn’t bogged down by a load of filler slop like the previous few albums (he kept that for the other 2 released today).
overall just a decent enough consistent listen, not very high highs but the lows aren’t as egregious as they’ve been in the past.
it’s a shame how subpar this album is, considering ‘will it be’ is a genuine masterpiece of a song
bit of a mixed bag, especially with albarns vocals being kinda weak here, but the production is gorgeous and a lot of the features (especially black thought when he's there) can completely steal the show
it’s… good, the songs are all well produced and performed, and the track list remained consistent, with some great highs.
but there is really nothing all that special or impressive here, the lack of feature verses is a really strange decision and i don’t think cole has the charisma to carry a 100 minute run time alone.
this ain't it, not the worst but feels like a bunch of throwaways, horrible mixing throughout
a solid but bloated album, captures the same warmth as his previous few, but lacks the consistency and the edge that made those so great
jane is such a special talent man, rarely will you see someone so flawlessly excel in as many styles and genres in such a short period of time
this is probably my favourite of hers, so glad the singles from last year got the time of day in a real project
definitely the weakest of the releases, still good though
the third in a consistent catalogue and possibly dave’s best album yet, in my eyes this cements him as the best lyricist in hip hop right now.
with sporadic moments of familiar brilliance surrounded by about 30 minutes of mediocre EDM, this new set of tame impala tracks make for a lacklustre album experience
