In some ways I still prefer the more accessible 2012-2017 in spite of rating this higher but this projects strength lies in it's sharper focus and brevity compared to 2012-2017. Grittier than it's predecessor, 2017-2019 is no less enjoyable to listen to.
Not a bad track on this record. Flamboyant is bold, brash and energetic and manages to fuse catchy pop tunes with forward thinking lyrics.
The album that finally got me into house music, 2012-2017 is grand and hypnotic and infinitely listenable from start to finish.
The Circus doesn't overstay its welcome nor does it leave any real impression. The lyrics are mostly braggadocios and are carried by occasionally smooth, breezy production.
