This album was ok.
It sounded less polished than his newer albums like Divide and it's easier to see here why he got so popular and what made him likeable in 2011. It felt more like listening to a real person making their own album here than just a product to put it simply, though it's definitely not a perfect album by any means. It can get really boring, especially in the second half.

Don't completely hate it but it's a very low effort and generic song
Also it apparently samples RHCP - Snow
Edit: It gets more annoying and empty sounding on every listen

Great album. Don't love it all as much I'd like to say but when it hits it's exhilarating, intensely emotional and a masterclass in production and dynamics

The money gotta be the only reason they gave this a terrible new cover. It's not a remaster and doesn't have anything new in the 30th Anniversary edition
Don't really love this as much anymore. It also doesn't have a cooldown until 9 songs in so it feels heavy all the way through without breaks which is a little overwhelming for repeat listens.
The transitions are great though and the album flow is immaculate. It has a clear formula for every song - especially for the singles - but they do a good job of it for the most part. The rapping helps break up the singing in the choruses and every track's got a passionate bridge.
It's a 7 minute industrial rock song and it is pretty damn amazing. This is kind of like the perfect in-between of TDS and With Teeth where they were able to do the best radio industrial imaginable. Wonder how this charted.
