most of this EP is fine, like i thought rolling was kinda funny but the tea is the worst thing danny’s ever done. painful reminder of when this was released
yikes.. another controversial glass animals take..
this is their worst album. it’s sounds pretty good yeah, but it’s just.. boring. it makes me want to take a nap. i could definitely see it growing though
i need more music like this. stuff that isn’t scared to be weird and original
its just as goofy and fun as their last album, but with an improved sound. they take a bunch of different genres and put the hyperpop spin on it flawlessly. just a good time.
edit: it’s good but it’s not a 99 idk why i did that???
controversial take, i love this album. not sure why though
sure the vocals and lyrics aren’t great but it really doesn’t matter. hot sugar, deja vu, helium- i love each track on here so much. i will defend this album itll the day i die.
the album starts with a title track. the lead singer, dave, describes this as “ a table of contents”. it feels like a preview of what you’ll get the rest of the album.
the next track is tangerine. this is one of the more forced ... read more
ive been playing this game my whole life so im definitely biased, but this is one of the best soundtracks ever made.
strange
a movie hated by most, yet a great soundtrack. there where really weird moments on here, like bringing in trey parker on hug me.. like.. the south park guy. even weirder, it was decent. though, i might be biased.
theres a great gem on here too, “there’s something special” was especially good. it’s nothing ground breaking, but its enough to take out Shazam in the movie theater.
fun, fun, fun is the annoying overplayed track. yet, as annoying as it is- ... read more
i was so excited for this album. a bunch of my favorite artists, and one of my favorite producers? it was looking great. imo, the one notable thing about the minons is that it has good music. i wasn’t expecting anything different (quality wise)
jesus christ was i wrong. most of the songs are all cheap covers. worst case being funkytown by st. vincent. absolutely awful. it feels so out of place on this album. there where only two people here that didn’t disappoint. Weyes blood and ... read more
a good follow up on her previous album. better song writing, and the same beautiful instrumentals
while the songwriting is a bit bland, the instrumentals really make up for it.
i mean i liked it, but i was definitely disappointed.
in the months leading up to its release, she made this seem like this would be way bigger than it actually was. in an instagram post, she promised new songs. songs with an s. there was only one. she also made it seem like there would be more covers than there actually where. instead, we got 5 songs. she made it seem like it was an album, not an EP. if it wasn’t for that, i probably would’ve given this a higher score. maybe a 75 ... read more
only complaint is that it’s too short. mars and paak did so well, but it leaves you wanting more.
this project lacks the charm of chapter one and two. every song on here feels more corporate. it feels like every other popular song on the radio. the only thing setting it apart, is her reputation. the fact that she’s a gay icon. i’m all for growing your sound, but this just feels like a cash grab. it’s boring, and disappointing.
a lesbian? who likes girl in red? really?
i’m not a big fan of the first track- i wanna be your girlfriend. not really sure why but it got annoying after the first couple streams.
next is say anything, my favorite girl in red song. it’s short and sweet. a lesbian love song based on an iconic movie? how could you not love it.
summer depression is a take on.. guess. its got simple and relatable lyrics. you get the feeling that this was written and recorded, stuck in her ... read more
